Reminder: Removing Stigma Innovation Team Meeting March 19

Everyone is welcome. Please join us as we work to build a community where families and individuals living with a mental illness feel supported and have the opportunity to live up to their potential.

“Stigma causes people to feel ashamed for something that is out of their control. Worst of all, stigma prevents people from seeking the help they need. For a group of people who already carry such a heavy burden, stigma is an unacceptable addition to their pain. And while stigma has reduced in recent years, the pace of progress has not been quick enough. (Quote: NAMI.org)

We all need to raise our voices against stigma every day, in every possible way we can. Let’s stand up to stigma.

The Removing Stigma Innovation Team was formed as a follow up to the Community Conversations held last fall, the first Innovation Team meetings were held in February.

You are welcome and encouraged to attend as many of these Team meetings as your schedule allows. Community input is vital to ensuring the continued success of our endeavor – we would be pleased to see you!
