Sen./Rep. Last Name,

As a constituent, I am writing to encourage you to support the passage of the Wellness in the Woods grant appropriation (SF3817/HFxxxx).

Peer-to-peer services have been proven to improve an individual’s use of skills in practical environments thereby reducing their use of crisis mental health services including and not limited to accessing crisis response services and mental health hospitalization services. Peer-to-peer services are a cost effective, evidence-based prevention method for saving systems money.

Wellness in the Woods hosts a Virtual Peer Support Network which is staff by trained Peer Support Specialists every day from 10am to 4pm as well as the Peer Support Connection MN Warmline which allows individuals to have one-on-one, over the phone conversations with a Peer Specialist every day from 5pm-9am.

I have personally benefited from the services provided through Wellness in the Woods.

[Share how Wellness in the Woods has helped you.]

It is only fair that the state of Minnesota support this important resource for all of our residents.

Please support SF3817/HF4304 to support the continued provision of Wellness in the Woods’ important and necessary services.
