The Aitkin County HRA administers the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program
for Aitkin and Mille Lacs counties.
The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Rental Assistance Program - previously referred to as "Section 8" - is designed to help low-income families pay their rent. Eligible families select their own rental unit and pay no more than 40% of their family income towards rent. The Aitkin County HRA pays the remaining balance.
The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list is CLOSED as of October 15, 2024.
