How to have the Conversation

Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) is a powerful addition to existing strategies to reduce the risk of suicide death in at-risk people while respecting their rights and autonomy.

Changing the Narrative Talking about mental health and suicIde can be an uncomfortable and uncertain topic that can bring up different feelings, beliefs, and attitudes for everyone. Changing the Narrative on Mental Health and Suicide, empowers conversations around language and provides support, in the hopes to change perceptions of mental health towards hope and resilIence.

QPR Question Persuade Refer is designed to teach how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis & respond appropriately.

COMET: Changing our mental and emotional trajectory helps community members feel confident starting supportive conversations about mental health.
