Region 7E AMHI 2027 Funding Application

Greetings Region 7E Partners and Providers!

The Region 7E Governing Board, serving Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Pine, and the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Nation, is pleased to announce the availability of Adult Mental Health Initiative (AMHI) funding for 2027.

AMHI funds are allocated to each AMHI region through the Minnesota Department of Human Services.  The Region 7E Governing Board solicits proposals and awards funding for a variety of mental health services and programs across the region.  The goal of AMHI funding is to support services or projects that address the gaps in the adult mental health continuum of care or reduce barriers for individuals meeting the Minnesota Statute 245.462 Subdivision 20, paragraph (c) definition of Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI).

As we prepare for the 2027 grant cycle, the Region 7E Governing Board welcomes proposals from both current and prospective providers.  Funding priorities are informed by the most recent Region 7E Needs Assessment, as well as stakeholder and provider feedback regarding service gaps and system barriers.

Funding proposals must align with eligible adult mental health initiative service categories (BRASS codes).  Please see the AMHI BRASS Code list for detailed service descriptions and types.  Applicants are encouraged to review the Region 7E AMHI Contract Template to understand contract expectations and requirements associated with funding awarded.

Additional instructions and details are included in the 2027 Region 7E AMHI Funding Request Form attached.  Region 7E reserves the right to approve, modify, partially fund, or deny proposals based on eligibility, alignment with priorities, and available funding.
