Mark your calendar! Our annual Suicide Prevention Community Awareness Run & Walk will be held this fall on September 13th at 9AM with the start & finish at Robinson Park in Pine City. We look forward to our regional community joining us and offer an opportunity for businesses, organizations, and individuals to sponsor our event. See the attachments below for details.
In Minnesota, suicide is the second leading cause of death among individuals ages 10 to 34, and the eighth leading cause of death overall. These are not just statistics—they represent the lives of our friends, family members, and neighbors.
To address this urgent issue, the PICK’M Up Coalition was formed with the vision of reducing suicides to zero across Region 7E. The coalition is open to anyone in Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Pine, or Mille Lacs counties who is passionate about mental wellness and suicide prevention.
In recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, we are hosting our annual Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Robinson Park in Pine City, MN. This community-focused event will bring people together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support those affected by suicide.
We are seeking support from local businesses and organizations in the following ways:
- Monetary donations to help cover event expenses such as materials, signage, and outreach
- Donations of bottled water and/or individually packaged snacks for participants
- General sponsorships or in-kind contributions to enhance the event experience
Please note: The PICK’M Up Coalition is not a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so we are unable to provide tax exemption forms or documentation for donations.
Your contribution—whether financial, material, or participatory—helps demonstrate that our community is united in hope and committed to preventing suicide.
If you are interested in supporting this important cause or have any questions, we would love to connect with you.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
