Choose one of two NO COST VIRTUAL sessions:
11:30a – 1:00p MT / 12:30p – 2:00p CT
OR
5:30p – 7:00p MT / 6:30p-8:00p CT

ATTENDEES WILL LEARN (Certificate of attendance awarded):

  • A general understanding of the scope of suicide in the U.S.
  • SIGNS of someone thinking about suicide
  • How to ASK questions
  • VALIDATE the person’s feelings
  • ENCOURAGE/EXPEDITE getting help 
  • Public Health Model approach to suicide prevention

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • Volunteers! Staff! Religious Leaders!
  • Anyone who welcomes newcomers
  • Anyone who answers phones
  • Anyone who leads small groups
  • Anyone in a leadership position
